How To Get Your Hosting Service
This is part 2 of a 2 part series. In the last video, you should have gotten your new domain name. If you haven’t acquired that yet, please do so now. To watch that video again, click here: How To Get Your Domain Name
In this video, I will illustrate how to get a hosting service for your new website. There are many services out there. B The one I am recommending is by far my favorite. I use it for all my websites.
The link to get your hosting service is:
http://bit.ly/ePerceptionHost
Here is the video explaining the process. If you have any problems you can also refer to the written directions below the video.
Thanks for watching, and be sure to get back with me to give me the information so that I can start on your site.
Here are the written directions to get an account…
- Click on “Web Hosting” in the top navigation bar
- Scroll down a little and view the plans. Make sure that you stay on the linux hosting, cause the windows hosting is not as good. Also, there are basically 3 plans that you will have to choose from:
- Hatchling
- Baby
- Business
I would recommend at least starting with the Baby. You will be able to host multiple domains on that server. If you want to move one step ahead, then go with the Business. That is what I use. I have at least 4 websites running on that account, and will eventually be running all my websites on that account. I also have an autoresponder/email manager installed there. That is where the Dedicated IP comes in handy.
3. Click the order button on the service which you want to use
4. You will have to chosoe a domain name that you already have for the next step. Click the radio button “I will use My Existing Domain and update My Nameservers only.”, then enter in the domain that you want to use, then click “Next”
5. Choose how you want to pay… IE. monthly,bi-annually,yearly…etc
6. The rest of the process is fairly simple and self explanatory.
After you have the service set up, send me all the login information, and I will take it from there, including redirecting the existing domain name that you chose to the new server.
